Vacancy for a Parish Secretary – St Matthew’s, Ballyfermot Upper

The role will be offered initially on a one year fixed term period (subject to a 3 month probationary period) on a part-time basis of 15 hours a week (Monday to Friday). Duties will include: Providing secretarial support to the Priest in charge. Running the parish office and handling telephone, post and email communications. Engaging and supporting the parish team and volunteers and dealing with the public. Assisting in the maintenance and running of Parish Church and Centre and related administrative tasks such as payment of invoices and liaising with Parish Committees. Administration duties relating to the Sacraments. Maintaining appropriate financial accounts for the parish. Up to date computer skills are desirable, including Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel with some data based experience. Pay and conditions will reflect the experience of the successful candidate.
